Flight Information
PNGs national airline, Air Niugini makes two (2) flights to Goroka from the capital Port Moresby everyday. To check out the flight details or make a booking please visit the Air Niugini website.
Visa & travel information
Visitors or tourists visas can be purchased at the Jackson's International Airport, Port Moresby, for K100.00. For those scientists who will be traveling to IMR to do research should purchase their visa at a nearest PNG embassy. For more information, visit the PNG Immigration & Citizenship Service website.
Scientists and or visiting parties traveling to Goroka for the Pneumonia Colloquium should make prior arrangements with PNG Institute of Medical Research Transport Department to ensure that you have a vehicle ready for you at the airport to drop you off at your hotel.
Travel Grants
GlaxoSmithKlein (GSK) Australia donated AUD$20000.00. This will assist travel for Australian Scientists to PNG. The grant will go to 9 people only.
GSK Singapore will donate EU15000.00. This will go towards travel of PNG delegates and towards publications for the colloquium..
