Staff gone finish

Krufinta Bun

Krufinta Bun joined the IMR in 2006 as a Fogarty Honors Student.

After completing her honors she stayed on with the Institute and was attached with the HIV/STI Laboratory.

She left the Institute in April and got a Full Bright Scholarship to study and do her Masters in Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, USA.

She will leave the country in August to purse her studies

Barbara Kepa

Barbara Kepa joined the IMR as a HIV/STI Social Research Cadet in September, 2006.

When the program came to a completion last year she joined the Operational Research Unit as a social researcher.

Barbara left the Institute in May to join Population Services International in Port Moresby as their National Malaria Manager.

Daphne Sepe

Daphne Sepe worked with IMR for six years.

She spent the first two years in Goroka and was then transferred to Madang to join the Entomology Unit as a Graduate Scientific Officer there.

She resigned in May and is pursing her own career.

Daniella Stanistic

Dr Danielle Stanisic left the IMR at the beginning of this year.

She was based in Madang and headed the Immunology Laboratory for four years.

She has gone back to her country in Australia.

Melinda Susapu

Melinda Susapa has been with IMR Madang, for seven years.

She was a Scientific Officer attached with the Epidemiology and Filariasis Unit.

She left the Institute this quarter and has joined the National Health Department in Port Moresby.

Steven Paniu

Steven Paniu was with IMR for five years.

He worked as a Graduate Scientific officer on various projects from Madang and Maprik.

Steven left the IMR and won a scholarship through WHO to purse a Masters in Manila, Philippines.

Pascal Michon

Pascal Michon headed the Immunology Laboratory in Madang.

He joined the IMR in 2004 and played a major role in training young scientific officers in his field.

His contract with IMR was up so he has returned to his country in Switzerland.

 

Nicolas Senn

Dr Nicolas Senn left the country and IMR in January 2009 after being with the Institute for nearly six years.

He headed the IPTi project in Madang and Maprik, which is now winding down.

He is with his family in Australia where they will be living for a while before returning to their homeland, Switzerland.
