Trio participate in UPNG Career Fair UPNG invited PNGIMR to take part in its Career Fair, which took place at the University on May.
The Fair was the first of its kind for the whole university, as each faculty used to hold their own. More than 30 organisations and companies displayed their material along the science block, where students came and enquired about the work in which ever organisation they were interested in. PNGIMR Training Coordinator, Dickson Kuvi, Scientific Officer, Bangan John and Multi-Media Officer, Llane Munau from PNGIMR Goroka minded the Institute’s (PNGIMR) displays at the fair. Dickson talked about the Fogarty program, which a lot of science students showed great interest in to join, Bangan shared his experience whilst in the program and Llane talked about the overall running of the Institute, the projects, what the Institute does and its history. According to the group’s leader Dickson Kuvi, the trio did a very good job in selling IMR to the students and other organisations present at the show. He said IMR should be involved more in such activities.
