PNGIMR women visit childrens ward
Women staff at the PNGIMR headquarters in Goroka visited the Goroka base hospital’s children’s ward twice in this quarter.

The visit was organized by PNGIMR Administration Manageress Ms Martina Yambun after seeing that a lot of kids under the age of two were being admitted to the hospital’s children’s ward at the same time.

Many were suffering from typhoid and other water related diseases.

The ladies contributed in cash and kind and prepared food, which they served to the children and their parents during lunch time.

Parents and hospital staff in the children’s ward were very grateful to the women of PNGIMR for taking time of their busy schedule to visit the sick children.

The PNGIMR ladies first visit to the childrens ward was on the 26th of April and their second visit was on the 31st of May.

Staff in PNGIMR sites usual carry out community service to those that need help in the community.
